Fromm is an Especially for Pet’s fan favorite food and treat brand. We had the chance to experience the FROMM difference first-hand when we took the Fromm Heritage Tour in Wisconsin. During the visit, we learned about the history of the Fromm Family, the innovations they brought to the agricultural and pet food industries, and took a complete tour the Fromm manufacturing facilities.

DrFitchWithDogSpring is around the corner and with it comes warm weather, sunshine, long walks outdoors…and mosquitoes. Heartworm disease can be fatal and pet parents need to know what it is and how to prevent it!

What is heartworm disease?
Heartworm disease is caused by a parasite called dirofilaria immitis. The adult worms, which can be up to a foot long, live in the heart, lungs and associated vessels of pet dogs and sometimes cats. Serious, potentially fatal consequences include severe lung disease, heart failure and damage to other organs such as the liver or kidneys. Mosquitoes serve as a carrier in the transmission of heartworm disease from one animal to another.

SadDogWe all know that the most fantastic fun for our four-legged friends usually involves a walk of some sort. Whether it’s a trip around the neighborhood, a romp off-leash on conservation land, or time spent trotting along the Rail Trail, few things bring a dog more joy than being out and about. Unfortunately, there are just some days when getting the dog out for that good, long walk just isn't possible. Maybe it's the weather, or we're down with pneumonia, or our trick knee just flared up...again. When that's the case, consider these seven ways, provided by Small Animal Massage Practitioner, Carolyn Romano, to keep your pup's mind engaged and happy.
