Congratulations to Renee Mancini of our Canton store who has been chosen as the 2015 Employee of the Year! Renee started working as a part-time employee at Especially for Pets in late 2014 and quickly moved up to full-time within months. She provides top notch customer service and shows the utmost dedication at all times. Despite losing her dog of 13 years before Thanksgiving of last year, she refused to leave the store without coverage and showed up for work the next day. Renee has never called in sick, and would switch or cover anyone’s shift, all just to help out the store and the staff. She recently adopted an adorable mix, named Archer, from a rescue in Salem and has remained dedicated to caring for and training him in the best way possible. Manager Bonnie Chepovsky said: “She is a truly caring individual when it comes to humans and animals alike, and we are so happy to have her on our team and thrilled to have her as Employee of the Year!”
Especially for Pets’ customers really came through again by responding very generously when asked to support Massachusetts police dogs in a recent campaign to celebrate Massachusetts Vest-a-Dog’s 15th anniversary. During the months of October and November, customers made either a $1, $5 or $15 donation to Massachusetts Vest-a-Dog, and Especially for Pets matched it! The final result was $6,592, plus an additional $1,000 from a Canton store customer to sponsor a K9 vest!
Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton is thrilled to announce that Especially for Pets has donated $8,641 to their Shelter.
Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton was the first quarter Charity Nail Clipping Recipient of 2015. Especially for Pets supports animals in need by offering free nail clippings in exchange for donations to a pre-selected local animal welfare organization. Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton thanks ALL Especially for Pets’ customers who had their pet’s nails trimmed during that time. These donations have truly helped Baypath’s animals—present and future!
Shortly before Veterans Day, Especially for Pets partnered with WZLX 100.7’s Karlson & Mackenzie’s Morning Show to raise money for veterans seeking service dogs from Operation Delta Dog. Their goal was to raise $10,000. As a repeat sponsor of this event and supporter of this organization, we knew it was a worthy cause that would positively impact several lives!
Becky joined the Especially for Pets team in 2011, and has worked in multiple store locations including Acton, Sudbury and Wayland. While working a demanding full time job with Especially for Pets, she also attends graduate school and volunteers at Love Lane in Lincoln helping children with disabilities. Becky is owned by two cats and one dog and is currently taking K9 Nose Work classes in Sudbury.
