K9 Nose Work is detection-dog training by any other name and has fast become the hottest, new fun sport in the world of canine competition. We will start a new six-week course called “K9 Nose Work Class Level I: Introduction to Hunting” on Friday, December 1 at 8:00pm at theTraining Academy in Sudbury.

Our training program is geared toward getting people ready to compete in this new sport and our students overall have been very successful. However, other people utilize these classes for the tremendous enrichment activity that they offer your dog and have gone on throughout all the different levels of the classes, enjoying each and every one!

Other wonderful benefits of participating in K9 Nose Work classes is that they help foster a strong bond between you and your dog, help build confidence, even in most timid dogs and are a venue where active dogs burn off energy and learn to focus on a task while engaging in and practicing their natural instincts, hunting and scenting. In short, whether you plan on competing or not, dogs love this new sport!
