Especially for Pets, a Massachusetts pet food and supply company with stores located in Acton, Medway, Newton, Sudbury, Wayland and Westborough (winner of 1999 Retailer of the Year by the Retailer’s Association of Massachusetts) is proud to announce Phil McKeen as 2006 Employee of the Year.

Phil McKeen of Framingham has been committed to Especially for Pets’ mission and its customers ever since he was hired five years ago to work in their Sudbury location. Phil received this award of excellence for several reasons including his exemplary dedication, self-motivation, and ability to consistently exceed customer service expectations. Phil takes great pride in the Sudbury store and far exceeds any expectations.

As lead associate, Phil’s responsibilities include buying, merchandising, stock work and filling in as a general handyman when needed. Phil understands the big picture of running the store and still maintains customer service as his top priority.

Kate Griesel, Especially for Pets store manager of Sudbury said “Phil is a huge asset to the Sudbury store and this award is well-deserved. I respect him immensely and feel privileged to have the opportunity to work with him.  He is always respectful and courteous to both employees and customers. He has a loyal following of Especially for Pets’ customers who only want to deal with him! ”

In his free time, Phil volunteers with Greyhound Friends, a non-profit Hopkinton-based organization where he adopted his greyhound, Jaguar. “Phil exemplifies the Especially for Pets’ mission: knowledgeable employees, outstanding customer service, and a passion for pets,” said Michael DiTullio, president and owner of Especially for Pets. “It gives me great pleasure to recognize Phil’s achievements.”
