Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton is thrilled to announce that Especially for Pets has donated $8,641 to their Shelter.
Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton was the first quarter Charity Nail Clipping Recipient of 2015. Especially for Pets supports animals in need by offering free nail clippings in exchange for donations to a pre-selected local animal welfare organization. Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton thanks ALL Especially for Pets’ customers who had their pet’s nails trimmed during that time. These donations have truly helped Baypath’s animals—present and future!
The funds raised through this program have enabled the Shelter to build a creative new enrichment space that will have a tangible and positive impact on their animals’ lives. “For a long time, we dreamed of creating a "home like" room. This will allow our animals a place to relax away from their indoor and outdoor enclosures, and offer a welcome break from what can sometimes be a hectic shelter environment,” said Elizabeth Jefferis, Executive Director of Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton.
Jefferis noted: “This quiet space will be set up just like a living room and provide a refuge for anxious dogs, an opportunity for one-on-one bonding time with people, a comfortable place for potential adopters to get to know an animal better, and so much more. The new room will be ready to use sometime this summer; the animals and our staff cannot wait!”
The check was presented on May 27 at Especially for Pets in Westborough.
