LPDR photoEspecially for Pets has donated $6,248 to Little Paws Dachshund Rescue (LPDR), our 2015 fourth quarter Charity Nail Clipping Recipient. This donation is a result of the money we collected from our customers for nail clipping services.

According to Fabre Sanders, Co-Chair of LPDR, this donation could not have come at a better time. “Earlier this week we got a call from a veterinarian in New Jersey who had a dachshund in their care that got tangled up in a bad situation and was hit by a car going 35 miles per hour.

She had a pelvic fracture, fracture of the femur, some other internal injuries and needed immediate care. We were able to help this precious girl because of this generous donation. We have also received many private donations for her care, so this money will be used going forward to help other dogs with higher medical needs. We appreciate everything Especially for Pets does for us via donations and special fundraising drives such as this.”

The check was presented on February 11, 2015 at Especially for Pets in Newton. Pictured are Mary Cobb, Newton Store Manager, Fabre Sanders Co-Chair of LPDR, Lauren DiBona, Assistant Store Manager, and Dana Braun of Especially for Pets.
