Especially for Pets Brings Holiday Cheer to Animal Rescue League
Adoption Centers
Thanks
to Especially for Pets’ generous customers, it was no ordinary
holiday for the forgotten pets spending the holidays in the Animal Rescue
League of Boston adoption centers.
On
December 29, Santa arrived to help his four-footed friends welcome in the
New Year with over 200 toys purchased and donated by caring Especially for
Pets’ customers. “It was such a wonderful moment when we first saw the
boxes of toys,” said Mary Exner, Assistant Manager of the Animal Rescue
League’s Boston shelter. “It was a special treat for many of our dogs and
cats, and all of us are sincerely grateful to everyone who made a
donation.” Debra Sharpe, Director of Development and External Relations for
the Animal Rescue League said "The Animal Rescue League is delighted and
grateful for the generous response of Especially for Pets and their
patrons. It's wonderful that so many toys and treats will go to help enrich
and socialize our animals. Thanks to all of you."
The Animal Rescue
League of Boston is a private, non-profit humane organization founded by
Anna Harris Smith in 1899. For over 100 years, it has served the community
with rescue, law enforcement, public education, veterinary care, shelter and
adoption services that benefit injured, neglected, and displaced animals.
The League has adoption centers in Boston, Dedham, Brewster and Pembroke.
