The Taste of Sudbury — June 2

Featuring Gordon Hamersley of Hamersley’s Bistro
&
Sally Sampson, Local Dog Cookbook Author of Throw Me a Bone!

In addition to our canine buffet, we will have an extra special treat for the human attendees, featuring barbequed specialties from Hamersley’s Bistro.  Boston's four-star bistro, located in the South End, is known for innovative contemporary cuisine, and owner and chef, Gordon Hamersley will be here in person for you to meet!

Hamersley’s Bistro has received enthusiastic attention from magazines and newspapers like Bon Appetit, Gourmet, Food & Wine and The New York Times and is consistently rated as one of Boston’s top four restaurants for food and popularity in Zagat’s Restaurant Guide. Gordon brings the spirit of Hamersley’s Bistro to any home kitchen with his first cookbook, Bistro Cooking at Home, which won the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) 2004 Cookbook Award. The book has received rave reviews and includes more than 150 of his classic recipes. The book will be available for sale and Mr. Hamersley will autograph copies on this day only!

Sally Nirenberg Sampson, author of Throw Me a Bone: 50 Healthy, Canine-Taste-Tested Recipes for Snacks, Meals and Treats, will be here as well signing copies of her popular cookbook. She co-authored the book with Cooper Gillespie, a very handsome Welsh Springer Spaniel. Ms. Sampson is co-owner of the newly opened Z Square in Cambridge and has contributed to Bon Appetit, Food and Wine, The Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, and Fine Cooking. She was the editor-in-chief of Balducci.com and a senior write for Cooks Illustrated Magazine.

A Beastly Buffet & Chip A Pet in Medway — June 2

Bring your canine and feline friends to our ‘beastly buffet!’ Visit with volunteers from The Purr-fect Cat Shelter and learn about cats they have available for adoption. Plus, enter to win a fabulous two- tier barrel from Arubacat Furniture! Have your pet permanently identified with a microchip at our clinic from 11:00am-2:00pm, with a portion of the fee going directly to the capital fund for the Purr-fect Cat Shelter’s new home. The Beastly Buffet will include gourmet delectables such as:

Paws in the Park - June 10

Visit the Especially for Pets’ Canine Buffet at the 7th Annual Save A Dog fundraiser!

When: Sunday, June 10 from 10:00am-3:00pm (rain or shine)

Where: John H. Pierce House & Park
            17 Weston Rd.
            Lincoln, MA

Join us and hundreds of other dog lovers for a day filled with family and canine fun! This year we are thrilled to support Paws in the Park on the beautiful, picturesque grounds of Pierce House in Lincoln.

Registration begins at 10:00am; group walk is from 11:00am to Noon. Go to www.saveadog.org/pawspledge07.pdf to request a pledge form.

If you can’t walk, you can still support Save A Dog by sponsoring someone who is walking!

Admission is $10 (waived if you have pledges). Children under 12 are free.

·         Micro-Chip clinic –a microchip ID implant is the best way to ensure your pet’s safe return should he become lost. (The cost of the chip is only $25 which if you include your admission is a great deal!)

The Taste of Westborough — June 16

The Taste of Westborough features our popular canine buffet and Canyon Café, serving up southwestern human goodies is back by popular demand!

Buffet features include:

Donation and/or raffle ticket purchase requested for participation in above events. Proceeds benefit Central Massachusetts Disaster Animal Response Team, Inc. a 501(c)3 non-profit, tax exempt organization. Donations help fund items to aid emergency response for the team.
