FOR PETS SUPPORTS THE DOG PROTECTION ACTThe Committee to Protect Dogs has launched a campaign to get a measure on the 2006 ballot to pass the Dog Protection Act which will enact stronger penalties for abusing law enforcement or service dogs, authorize law enforcement authorities to seize dog fighting paraphernalia and breeding dogs, and phase out greyhound racing by 2008. 110,000 signatures are needed; the deadline is November 20th. Petitions are available at each of our stores. |
