For a fee of $30 in advance people and their dogs can run, walk or wheel in the event of their choice beginning and ending in Norton MA’s lovely animal sanctuary and petting farm that’s fun for the whole family.

The “Goodness Gracious Run for Rescue” is set for noon on November 5 at Winslow Farm, 37 Eddy Street, Norton, MA.  In addition to the road race, the day will include free goodie bags and t-shirts; prizes for the best Halloween costumes and fastest finishers in the races; refreshments; and raffles – including a raffle for a year of free pet treats from race host Goodness Gracious of Marblehead, MA.  To register or find out more go to www.Run4Rescue.org

All the net proceeds from the November 5th Run for Rescue benefit a select group of exceptional, local animal shelters and rescue organizations including:  Buddy Dog Humane Society, Baypath Humane Society, Animal Rescue League of Boston, Winslow Farm, PAWS New England, Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter, Friends of Marblehead’s Abandoned Animals, Project Pawsitive, and Help Save One.

“Especially for Pets is proud to support the Run for Rescue on November 5 because it benefits local animal rescue and welfare programs; a cause that is an important part of our ongoing mission,” said Amy Kinne, Director of Business Development.  “We are pleased to partner with Goodness Gracious and support their efforts to help needy animals in our community while at the same time having fun and celebrating the bond between people and pets,” she continued.

Registration is $30 per person (with or without a dog) includes free t-shirt and goodie bag (while supplies last.)  All net proceeds go to charity.  Visit www.Run4Rescue.org to find out more and to register.

The Run for Rescue was established by Goodness Gracious, Marblehead MA maker of delicious, healthy pet treats that donates 51% of its profits to community shelters, rescues and spay/neuter programs wherever its treats are sold.

“Our mission is to enable all fortunate dogs and cats to help all less fortunate animals – one community, one neighborhood, one home at a time,” said Goodness Gracious founder and CEO, Amy Renz. “We save lives every day by donating half of our profits from the sales of our treats to community adoption and rescue programs, and we’re excited to kick things up a notch this November 5th with our inaugural Goodness Gracious Run for Rescue.  It will be an amazing day and the perfect way to celebrate the joy and love animals bring into our lives. So come run, walk or wheel your cookies off for a super cause,” she continued.
