Holiday Fundraising Events Raised Much Needed Money for Local Non-Profits

Always in the holiday spirit of giving, our customers certainly did their share in helping to support local breed rescue organizations. During November and December, we held 21 fundraising events for the following animal related charities:

• New England Basset Hound Rescue
• Northeastern Boxer Rescue
• Kitty Angels
• American Kennel Club’s Canine Foundation
• Baypath Humane Society
• Stray Pets in Need
• Purr-fect Cat Shelter

We’re proud to report that we raised a total of $3,437 for these non-profit organizations!  Fundraising events included: Pet Photos with Santa, Holiday Wreath Sale, Gift Wrapping for Charity and Tree Trimming Parties.

When we went to press, we were still collecting toys, treats and food for the Animal Rescue League of Boston and Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton. (We will let you know what was collected for these two organizations in February.)

Comments from the breed rescue organizations that benefited from the fundraising events:
Eileen Valinski, New England Basset Hound Rescue Fund Raising Coordinator said “New England Basset Hound Rescue would like to thank the Especially for Pets Westborough store for a very successful Pet Photos with Santa event. Everyone had a great time and we met many wonderful dogs. Our large waving basset hound was a big hit (waving at passing cars) out on Route 9! The training room provided by your store was the perfect place to do the photos. Your staff was extremely accommodating to us. We raised $755 to aid in our rescue mission, this certainly exceeded our expectations!
